Coquimbo, August 2018 — The Brisa Lira Jiménez Shelter officially opened its doors in a ceremony held this month. This important facility, designed to provide refuge and support to cancer patients, was handed over to the Unidos Contra el Cáncer organization in late 2017 by Intendant Claudio Ibáñez.

The inauguration event was attended by prominent figures from the Coquimbo province, as well as partners and friends of the organization. The day was enlivened by the Orquesta de la Cruz del Milenio, directed by Maestro José Sarabia, who gave an emotional performance in honor of the attendees.

With the opening of this shelter, Unidos Contra el Cáncer reaffirms its commitment to providing a safe and supportive space for those facing the difficult battle against this disease.
